I have over 15 years of experience working in wireless technologies and network engineering with an adjudicated Top Secret clearance transiting from the military in November of 2021. Currently, I work as the Chief Instructor/ Telecommunications Engineering Specialists at Marine Corps Detachment - Fort Gordon, where I lead a cross-functional team of 17, training and educating personnel to achieve their career goals—formally instructing personal in telecommunications, network security, and troubleshooting.
Previously, I worked at various locations as a Lead Telecommunications Engineering Specialists, where I planned, implemented, and advised on transmission system architectures, configure wired, wireless, and satellite communications systems for voice, video, and data services. I supervise the installation of tactical nodes, TCP/IP services, technical support, and maintenance. I led a team of 102 and oversaw all aspects of integrating single and multiple channel transmission systems into the Network Operation Center (NOC) and Technical Control Facilities (TCF). This included mentoring, coaching, and training personnel on the programming, operating, installing, and maintaining various transmission systems from handheld tactical radios to tactical satellites, planning transmission nodes, and advising senior leadership. I enjoy learning, which is why I am fascinated with the information technology industry and starting my journey into the world of cybersecurity.
Further along on this journey, I hope to gain hands-on experience with offensive security with an aspiration to pursue penetration testing. I am always open to new connections and sharing knowledge and experiences, so don't hesitate to contact me via email at blanderson6@gmail.com.
